This time last week this is what I was doing – OK maybe not literally JUMPING for a photo shoot, but yes, on the beach in beautiful Anna Maria Island Florida.
That is all.

I am sharing my favorite breakfast on the go as part of a sponsored post by Collective Bias.
By now you know me – I’m always on the go. Quick and easy is my answer whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. But that doesn’t mean I don’t think about what’s going into my body – or my kids.
We’ve pretty much X’d the PopTarts, most sugary cereals, and *gasp* even most ‘granola’ bars.

When I heard about the Tyson Breakfast Bowls I was thinking chicken. I guess Tyson & chicken just go hand in hand. I was pleasantly surprised to see the two varieties they offered at my local WalMart – Sausage, Egg & Cheese as well as Bacon, Egg & Cheese. (who doesn’t love at least one of those??) See all about my shopping trip here.
Of course, we had to try both. I bought 3 boxes, and at $3.47 that isn’t too bad for 6 mini breakfast bowls. But I know between the 5 of us I wanted to be prepared
with enough. We grabbed some fresh fruit to go along with it, and we decided to try them on Saturday morning. My son is a picky eater, so I figured at least he could eat some fruit, if he didn’t
like what he tried.
(I picked up some Coke for my husband too – he has to have his caffeine while he’s on the road). Anyway, the kids were super excited to try out the breakfast bowls, so
we decided I would make them for breakfast the next day.
The bowls were a bit smaller then I expected. I made each family member 2 (one bacon, one sausage) and a cup of fruit. I swear they devoured them within minutes,
and I was up making them more! Even my picky 5 year old loved them, (especially the bacon -but who doesn’t love bacon??) Even my husband who prefers all ‘home cooked’
meals really enjoyed them – and that’s saying a lot. This is definitely a great breakfast for Mom’s on the go – and kids rushing out the door to get to school. I can definitely see
myself buying these in bulk especially once school starts!
As part of a post sponsored by Collective Bias I am sharing some quick & easy dinner recipes using Tyson Chicken Fries purchased from Sam’s Club.
I have a confession. I must confess that I don’t always cook from scratch. Maybe some of you are shocked, other’s are probably laughing because you know me.
Either way when it comes to dinners I would sometimes get stuck in a rut and continue to make the same things over and over – much to the dismay of all 3 of my children. So I decided to switch it up a bit and start thinking outside the box. I started with Tyson Chicken Fries and worked some magic.
First of all, I do a lot of shopping at Sam’s Club. It saves me money, and prevents me from having to run to the store every other day. On a normal week day I have myself and 3 children to feed, but on the weekends my husband and step-son are home, so that up’s the ante. A growing almost 16 yr old boy can eat just as much or even more then the other 3 kids combined! So when I buy, I buy in bulk.
A general recipe I usually use for a quick chicken dinner, is usually pretty simple and well, boring. I cook up the chicken fries, add some green beans and mac n cheese and we have a dinner! But even the kids get sick of the same old thing, and frankly, so did I. So for a twist I came up with a few ‘outside the box’ quick and easy recipes.
By far my favorite, and the easiest is the Tyson Chicken Fries Wrap. Cook the chicken fries per the directions. Use tortillas for the wrap (feel free to use whole wheat for a healthier version) add lettuce, cheese, ranch dressing, and anything else your heart desires. This is a favorite of my youngest daughter as well – she likes to pair it up with some fruit for dinner. Definitely yummy, quick and easy. Took less then 15 minutes to prepare and be ready to eat!
Another simple, yet delish recipe is the Chicken Parmesan. Use any type of noodle you desire, bake per directions, bake the Chicken Fries as stated on the bag as well. Add spaghetti sauce, top with the chicken fries – add cheese. My oldest daughter loves anything Italian, and this was definitely her favorite of all. You can also cut up the chicken and mix it in for a twist on spaghetti meat sauce.
Another favorite in the house was the Chicken Fries Taco. Pre heat oven to directions on box. Sprinkle taco seasoning to the top of the chicken fries before you bake them. We love hard tacos around my house, as well as lettuce and salsa. Definitely a yummy taco! I added some black & pinto beans as a side dish. Another meal that took less then 15 minutes to prepare!
Do you have any outside the box recipes using Tyson Chicken Fries? Feel free to share!
I shopped for Pepperidge Goldfish Puffs and other snacks for our vacation as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias® but all opinions and thoughts are my own.
Next week my kids, myself, and my parents will all load into my Mom’s minivan and make a 16 hour drive down to Florida for our first ‘real’ vacation. Yes, that is six of us loaded up with our luggage headed to Anna Maria Island and then of course we will hit up a few theme parks in Orlando such as Disney World, Busch Gardens and SeaWorld. (YAY!)
The trip alone can be pricey, so this Mama has set a budget we must stick to. Especially with food & snacks. I know my kids love to run into the gas station or convenience store and pick out a $2 bag of chips, and a $2 pop just because it’s fun.. But $4 a kid each stop can really start to add up.
So we decided to make a quick trip to Target to stock up on some great snacks for the road trip.
The kids head straight for the ‘fishies’ as my son calls it. They always pick their own bag of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish, and rarely share with the others. So I always make sure we have plenty, especially if we are on any kind of road trip, let alone for 16 hours!
I was pleased to see that not only were the NEW only at Target Goldfish Puffs were on sale, but so were the original Goldfish – and they had about every flavor (score 1 for Mom!) The kids went nuts over the Goldfish puffs, and of course had to have a bag of their own. What was great is we were able to try all 3 flavors, Mega Cheese, Cheddar Bacon, and Buffalo Wing.
We got a few bags of each, some Juicy Juice, and some natural fruit strips – along with a Mickey T-shirt for the birthday boy to wear in DisneyWorld (I told you I was on a budget) and our vacation snack shopping was complete.

But of course the Puffs didn’t even make it to the snack bag – they broke right into them as soon as we got in the car! My girls went crazy over the spicy hot Buffalo Wing Puffs, (a bit too spicy for my 4 yr old), but they are perfect flavor for teens or preteens. They all really enjoyed the Mega Cheese & Cheddar Bacon (the Cheddar Bacon was definitely my favorite). The great thing is they have a built-in fresh keeper, you just pull the sticky over top the bag to keep them fresh-so now they can go in the vacation bag- and we are all set.
In the past every time I got my ‘mojo’ back and decide to start working out again, I assumed that I needed to join a gym. Where else would I have access the equipment I needed to get back into shape?
After hundreds of dollars spent, and only days at the gym due to scheduling conflicts (either my work, or the kids activities) I decided to get smart…I started researching and I found my life saver…
