Shutterfly Holiday Cards are back: Review & Giveaway

I was compensated with product for this review through Resourceful Mommy Media, but as always, all opinions are my own.
#shutterfly #Christmas #holiday #cards

I know it’s hard to believe; it seems like Summer just ended and the kid’s just started back to school. But it’s that time to start planning again for one of the most joyous yet stressful holidays of the year- Christmas! I have gotten better over the past few years as far as planning goes. Instead of running to Walgreens a week before Christmas to get my Christmas cards, (and print some photos to go in them) along with staying up all night to finish them, I’ve actually planned ahead and not only took photos for it (and planned out great matching outfits) but ordered some great holiday cards from Shutterfly

This year Shutterfly has some great new designs that include:

New card design styles for 2013 – 5×7 folded tri fold & back of card designs

  •   Classic: Traditional colors, iconic illustrations, aspirational sentiments, snowflakes, monogram
  •    Contemporary: trend forward colors, texture and layering, water color techniques, shine, glitter, Instagram pictures are perfect for this style
  •    Whimsy: humor and nostalgia meet, fun sentiments
  •    Merry and Bright: all about color and having fun
  •    Religious: metallic type treatments, incorporated story ideas
  •    Photo Basics: multiple colors, vertical type, family name highlights

I love the classic black, white and red of this simple card. Simple yet classy (and if you weren’t able to match your outfits and coordinate as you hoped, making the picture black and white can be a life saver; and no one is the wiser!)

#Shutterfly #Christmas #holiday #cards #PhotosYouLove

Take some great pictures you want to share with the family you don’t see often? I love the Merry Christmas Card banners! Not only are these great cards, but you can frame them as well for a memory keepsake.

Not only does Shutterfly have some great holiday cards, but they offer a great selection of holiday gifts as well. Last year I treated myself to the Photo Desk Organizer to use at work. I love it, and I get compliments every day on how nice it is.

#holidaygift #gift #photo #photogift #Christmas #present #PhotosYouLove

They also have some great tech photo gifts like customized iPad and iPhone cases, which are great gifts for those hard-to-buy-for relatives. I love that you can customize the colors as well as multiple photos.

I saved money with the Walmart Family Mobile Plan!

#CBIAS #FamilyMobileSaves #shop

As I mentioned before we added our kids to our current mobile plan and to be quite honest, we were paying out the wazoo. For 5 phones (2 smartphones, and 3 ‘regular’ phones) our bill was running nearly $300 a month (that is more then my car payment!) Every time I logged online to pay our bill I cringed at the amount as I typed in my credit card info. Do you know what I could do with an extra $300 a month? Our grocery budget isn’t much more then that!

So when I had a chance to try out the Walmart Family Mobile, I jumped at it. Though I was a bit skeptical that the service could be comparable I was pleasantly surprised. Of course so were the kids – they were able to get a smartphone and they were ecstatic.

#FamilyMobileSaves #ad #shop #cbias

As I started to compare our current carrier bill, to the bill for the Walmart Family Mobile Plan I was a bit shocked.
Below is my current wireless provider billing statement.

Compare and Save #mobile #cell #FamilyMobileSaves #saves #ad #shop #cbias

I know right?? OUCH! Our bill varies from $300 to the lowest at $266 A MONTH. Every month when I get online to pay this bill I think of all the things I could spend this money on, and then I click submit and my money vanishes.

So looking into the Walmart Family Mobile plan, I was shocked at the price difference for more. Not only would The Walmart Family Plan provide all of us with smartphones, but it would also provide unlimited calls and text messaging. Now we have a newly turned 16 year old, and 2 preteen girls who absolutely must be able to access their email, Twitter and Facebook on a regular basis. Not having to worry about overages for internet or texting? Priceless. I am also able to get online and view her usage history, and limit the times of day she uses her phone!

#FamilyMobileSaves #shop #cbias

I know you guys are smart and can figure out the math. But as I was comparing, I couldn’t help but to put it together for you, so you can actually see what a savings it is to switch.
Seeing is believing right?

It blows me away! The difference of $1,500 just to switch from one company to another is amazing for me, and a no brainer. Do you know what I could do with $1,500 a year?
Well, let me tell you:

  • I could take a mini vacation just for me (hey, all Mom’s deserve a getaway)
  • I could take a romantic weekend with my husband
  • I could put it in savings for an emergency (but let’s all agree #1 and #2 sound better)
  • I could pay off a credit card
  • I could get the kids school clothes, school supplies and everything they need for the year without touching the rest of the family budget
  • I could not cook for 50 meals
  • I could buy that pop up camper I’ve been wanting for years worth of family fun
  • I could get laser eye surgery (this would at least pay all my deductibles and copays)
  • I could get a new kitchen table and chairs

The list goes on and on..

But don’t take my word for it – check out Walmart Family Mobile online or in store and see how much you could save!

About Goddess Garden

Goddess Garden, a Boulder-based skincare company, was founded in 2004 by Nova Covington, entrepreneur and mom. As a new mother, Nova was inspired to create organic skincare products initially for her daughter Paige, who was allergic to chemicals in traditional bath products. Motivated to develop safe skincare solutions, Nova launched natural products using pure minerals zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as the active agents for sun protection — the highest organic content of any sunscreen on the market.

In 2009, Goddess Garden launched a line of Organic Sunscreen products that protect and nourish without harsh sunscreen chemicals. This long-lasting SPF 30 sunscreen is made with sheer minerals that reflect 97% of the sun’s harmful UV rays. Goddess Garden’s line of organic sun care products is water resistant to 40 minutes, non-greasy, absorbs quickly and nourishes sensitive skin with the highest percentage of organic ingredients available in a sunscreen—up to 94 percent!

Goddess Garden continues to innovate by recently introducing the first organic, chemical-free sunscreen in a continuous spray. Currently, Goddess Garden’s family of sun care products include adult, kids, baby and facial sunscreens.

Goddess Garden was founded with a commitment to product excellence while maintaining a low carbon footprint. The woman-owned company provides safe and effective products using environmentally sustainable business practices. Goddess Garden supports organic farmers, local schools,  and family-friendly organizations.

More and more you hear in the news about the harmful chemicals that we are exposing our body to on a daily basis – chemicals that can cause cancers, and many other diseases. Just because companies are too busy making a profit to worry about what they are selling us to put on our bodies. That’s why I love companies like Goddess Garden Organics  that care about what we are putting on our bodies – and on our children.
I was able to review the Lavender Mint Daily Lotion with Broad Spectrum SPF 15 which has 91% organic ingredients. The lotion is thin and smooth, and smells a bit like an Aveda product. The reason I love it?

  • Made with up to 91% Certified Organic ingredients
  • Powerful protection without harsh chemicals
  • Sheer minerals block 97% of sun’s harmful UV rays
  • Non-greasy for face and body
  • Nourishes and hydrates sensitive skin
  • Packed with vitamins and antioxidants
  • Water-Resistant
  • Reef-safe, biodegradable, vegan
  • Comes in 3 great scents such as: Lavender Mint, Grapefruit Bergamot and Tangerine Lavender

All in a Day’s Work and TYLENOL® are SMILING IT FORWARD™

I have received information and products from McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., the makers of TYLENOL®. The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks.

“I’m SMILING IT FORWARD™ because a healthy happy child is our future.”

The makers of TYLENOL® were so inspired by the “feel better” smiles shared organically by moms across the country online that they’ve teamed up with

Alyson Hannigan

How I Met Your Mother star and mom of two, Alyson Hannigan, to launch the SMILING IT FORWARD™ campaign. Together, they hope to set the power of giving in motion, inviting everyone to share smiles of good health to help children in need.
SMILING IT FORWARD™ makes it easy for everyone to join in and help – by sharing a photo that makes you smile at SmilingItForward.com TYLENOL® will make a $1 donation to Children’s Health Fund, helping ensure that a child in need has a doctor within reach.

It’s quite ironic that I received this kit and started this post just as my 5 year old was getting sick. Friday evening he was a bit lethargic and just laid on the couch cuddling his ‘chocolate milk bear’ and watching cartoons. When I finally finished cleaning up from dinner, I checked on him again and this time he was burning up! I took his temp and at 102 I was shocked at how fast he was getting sick. I opened my Children’s TYLENOL® and gave him his recommended dosage, and put him in the bath. His fever continued through the night, and he broke out into a horrible sweat. I don’t know about you, but when my little guy is sick in my eyes, he looks like my baby.

sick and sleepy

Two days later he is now back to his sweet smiling (and a little bit rotten) self. That definitely makes me smile =)

Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers Review & Giveaway

FTC Notice: I received this product in exchange for my honest reviews

Packing lunches for 3 kids is a pain in the tush. Day after day I try to come up with new tasty, healthy lunches for them to try, but not every lunch is a success. My picky 5 year old has literally brought his lunch box home with nothing even opened and when I ask him why he didn’t eat I get, “Well, it didn’t look good.” So when I was given an opportunity to review Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers I was pretty excited.

Not only do the Fruit Burst contain real fruit, but it contains a veggie as well!
“Carrot puree, blueberry puree concentrate” are some of the ingredients in the Blueberry Flavor which was my son’s absolute favorite. The pouch made it easy for him to eat while socializing with his classmates (as we know all kids like to talk more then they do eat – at least while at school!)

A yummy blend of delicious fruit & veggies that kids will love. A squeezable snack with 1 ½ servings of fruit & veggies. [1 serving = ½ cup fruits & veggies; Concentrated equivalent to ¾ cup fruits and vegetables (75% fruits, 25% vegetables) based on USDA Equivalency Database]

Not only did my 5 year old love it, but so did his older sisters, and I have to admit in a rush on the way to work one day I grabbed 2 for breakfast – I was surprised how sweet they tasted, and how filling they were. Two of them took me right up until lunch until I got hungry.

Want to try Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers for yourself? Enter below for a Del Monte Prize Pack!
Prize pack includes:

  •  Two boxes of Fruit Burst Squeezers™ (one Fruit + Veggies 4-pack and one Simply Fruit 4-pack)
