Little Scholar Kids Tablet

I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review; all opinions, as usual, are my own.

As a concerned Mom, I don’t always hand over my phone or tablet for my son to play on. There’s just too many possibilities of a mess (either him deleting important things, or clicking on an inappropriate video on YouTube, etc). So I have been on the search for a tablet that he can play games on, read, and it can just be his own – and I don’t have to worry about him breaking it. So I was thrilled when I was offered the Little Scholar Kids Tablet to review (and 1 to giveaway!)
School Zone, the makers of the Little Scholar Kids Tablet has had over 30 years of experience in the educational products industry – so they know what your kids like – and need.
They launched the Little Scholars tablet in 2014 jam-packed with lessons based on the core subjects for preschoolers, kindergartners, and first graders including math, reading, spelling, logic, creativity, and geography.

The year they’ve launched a new and improved Little Scholar Tablet which  features:

  • Over 200 apps including 98 songs and 54 “Start To Read” books – worth over $400 in free content
  • Ready to play – with or without WiFi
  • All Start To Read books have read-along audio tracks
  • 8-inch screen, textured easy grip protective bumper
  • Runs on Google AndroidTM 4.4.4 operating system
  • 2 convenient charging options: USB interface & 5-foot DC power cord
  • Download additional apps from the School Zone Market or the Amazon App Store may be installed

My son has been thrilled to have his own tablet, especially filled with soo much awesome stuff. The battery seems to last forever, and I love that it comes with a protective case, and a carrying case. He brings it in the  car when we have anywhere to go that’s longer than a 15 minute drive. The best thing? He’s learning! He was surprised at first to realize that I wasn’t yelling at him that his time was up, or that I didn’t take it away because he was on it too much!
The Little Scholars Kids Tablet would make a perfect birthday or Christmas gift for your little one – you can order it online at am

Kenmore Elite Grills: the Perfect Gift for Dad!

Tracking Pixel

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kenmore Elite Grills.

Father’s Day is just around the corner and if you are like me, you have been searching high and low for that perfect gift for the Dad in your life. My Dad pretty much will buy what he wants throughout the year so coming up with a perfect gift can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. What do you get for a guy who has it all?

Last week we were over at my parents house when my frustrated Dad said he gave up; the grill they’ve had for the past twelve years had finally kicked the bucket – so I knew exactly what we were going to get him for Fathers Day which is just a few short weeks away! I had been eyeing the kenmore.com/grills for awhile now, and this was the perfect excuse to head over to Sears and check out all they have to offer!

Kenmore_grill

Kenmore.com/grills will give your Dad the opportunity to really become a grill master. They offer a larger cooking surface with more burners so you have plenty of room and the right amount of heat for each dish. I love that you never have to worry about some being overcooked, the even heat distribution gives even grilling results from one corner to the next.

Though the different models offer different features, I was amazed to find rotisserie attachments, side steamers, and smokers (yes!) and even ovens for all your grilling needs. Some even have a refrigerator in the grill to keep ingredients close by to make entertaining super easy.

If the Dad you’re celebrating already has an awesome kenmore.com/grill then you can get him some awesome accessories like a 4 pc stainless steel grilling tool set, grill cover or grill light!

One of our favorite recipes to make on the grill is Campfire Chicken. Super simple, and simply delicious! You will need:
Chicken Breast
Carrots
potatoes (preferably small red, but use what you wish)
green beans
A bottle of your favorite Italian dressing
Foil

Combine chicken breast, cut  carrots, diced potatoes and green beans onto foil, add Italian dress and close foil (you can use foil bags, or just wrap them yourself) throw on the grill and viola! You have a healthy delicious dinner. We make this a lot in the summer, and I love taking leftovers to work the next day (when there are any!)

You can check out  some other great grilling recipes  on Cookmore (a Kenmore site) that will make your mouth water. Grilling is one of my Dad’s favorite things to do, and I have found a ton of things we are going to have to try.

Check out the YouTube video below and see the wonder of the 5 burner island gas grill with refrigerator – imagine all the brownie points you’d earn with Dad if you bought him this one!

Through July 4th you can take advantage of some great offers at kenmore.com/grills or at your local Sears!

Get Pool Smart with pHin

This is a sponsored post on behalf of ConnectedYard. Though I’ve been compensated for my time, all opinions are my own.

Installing a pool in our backyard has been one of the greatest – and most frustrating – decisions we’ve made. I absolutely love being able to enjoy the beautiful weather and soak in the sun floating around in the pool in the privacy of my own back yard; I love that the kids and their friends are here, instead of running around at some public pool where it’s harder for me to keep an eye on them. I also love having my friends & family over for a grill out and a pool party on the weekends. But what I really don’t love is the frustration of making sure that the chemical levels are safe and effective. I’ve read the articles, watched the videos. But with a good rain, no matter how much I’ve read up, I have to go back and check again and again – and make sure I have the chemicals just right.
What’s really bad is when you’ve measured wrong, and you have to stay out of the pool for 24 – 48 hours (especially if you or your kids had plans to invite people over – been there, done that!) In fact, I’ve gotten so frustrated with it I’ve actually hired someone to start taking care of it for me – which as you can guess, can really add to the cost.  That is why I am so excited about an awesome new smart product called pHin.

Dad Dropping pHin

This super smart product I like to call “smart pool maintenance for dummies” makes pool care easy (even for people like me!) pHin monitors your water quality 24/7 and notifies you on your smartphone when you need to add chemicals. I mean, how much easier could it get? They ship you premeasured doses of chemicals as you need them. So all you do is read the app and follow the instructions to keep your pool clean and safe.

AddPodsBlack_CC

Not only does it make it easy, but super convenient for those busy days when you don’t have time to spend hours testing, measuring and adding chemicals (or you forgot). I absolutely LOVE that it will notify me via my smartphone since we all know that never leaves my side! I can’t get too busy and forget to check (which has happened more often than I’d like to admit), and be sorry by the time the weekend gets here. It will automatically remind me, and for this alone I’m excited!

pHin launches Tuesday June 2nd! Oh, and they offer the same service for hot tubs as well! If you pre-order now, you can get the sensor and 3 months of chemical pods for just $149!
