Thankful for Your Pup? Check out these Great DIY Holiday Gift Ideas!

Disclosure: Post sponsored by Lunchbox but all opinions are my own.

Our dog is more than just a pet – he’s part of the family. He’s there for us to love, and he shows us affection and attention even when we don’t deserve it. He plays the peace keeper, the companion, the protector, and the friend.

Buddy deserves to be treated extra special especially this holiday season and Walmart agrees. Walmarts #TreatThePups  has some great DIY ideas to show your pet exactly how much you love them, and gives you a way to include them in your holiday festivities.

best-BudsFrom Milkbone, to Milo’s Kitchen and Pup-peroni there are plenty of treats that I know Buddy would enjoy that I was able to pick up at Walmart. We made him his own special chalkboard treat jar and trust me – he knows exactly where it is at any point in the day. He always makes sure to let me or the kids know he knows as well! He is always on his best behavior when we go to give him something out of the jar!

The jar is simple and cheap to make – buy a storage jar or container at Walmart, or even your local dollar store (depending on what size you need). You can even recycle mayo jars, etc. Buy a can of  chalkboard paint, and get your creative juices going – and viola! We are able to personalize his jar – with Treat The Pups logo, or even his name. Its a super cute simple idea that won’t take a lot of time or money.
