Anyone who knows me knows that I go barefoot whenever possible – who likes to be constricted by itchy, stiff socks all day?? But sometimes socks are a necessity (unfortunately I haven’t mastered the treadmill barefoot – ha). So I’m always on the lookout for cute, comfy, soft socks to wear.
When I first heard of Gold Toe Ultra Soft, Oh. So. Soft. socks I was a bit skeptical. I couldn’t imagine that a sock would be soft enough to feel comfortable in, even while working out. So I decided to give them a test and see how they worked for me in my everyday environment.

at home: probably one of the hardest place to wear socks in the summer.  I do like to keep my house pretty cool since we have 4 stories, so my main floor is a bit chilly in the evenings. They were super soft and comfy to lounge in, and my kittens agreed! They tried to attack my feet while I sat on the couch!

at work. During the summer I don’t normally wear socks since I wear slide on’s, or sandals. I decided to put socks on with my slide ones, and though it was a bit awkward at first (its been months since I’ve worn socks to work), I was surprised to find how soft they were. I actually slipped off my shoes under my desk and enjoyed the softness. (its much easier to wiggle toes around in just socks than in shoes).

at the gym. This is where I normally where socks, and they drive me crazy. I feel like I’m constantly pulling at them to stay above my heel when I’m jogging on the treadmill, and I swear normal socks get stuck between my toes while I’m on the exercise bike. This time, with the Gold Toe socks, I didn’t have to pull and tug to make them comfortable. They did feel wet after a long workout, but most socks do – so into the wash they went.

The Gold Toe Ultra Soft, Oh. So. Soft. socks. washed up nicely. They were still super soft, and didn’t fall apart or look really worn after a trip through the washer and dryer. I love that a quality, soft, luxurious sock like this is affordable for the whole family – I’ve already ordered some more since both of my daughter’s decided to steal mine!

IGNITE Youth Conference coming to Monroe, OH

Some of the best memories I have of my youth are the church youth camps and conferences I attended at a teenager. My relationship and passion for the Lord grew during those times more than any other I can remember; they would literally ignite a fire in my soul to become what God wanted me to be, to focus on living for Him and ministering to others. I also made lifelong friends at these conferences, friends who had the same focus, goals, and morals as I did. Memories – and relationships – that have lasted well into adulthood.

I am excited that this year my daughter will be able to experience one of these life changing events. The IGNITE youth conference is coming to Solid Rock Church in just a few weeks!
