How Busy People Lose Weight & Stay Fit

It doesn’t matter how busy you are, everyone has the chance to lose the weight. You’re in control of your health.

Even if you’re extremely swamped with work and home life, there are still ways to live a healthy lifestyle. See how busy people lose weight and stay fit.

Take Supplements

Natural supplements are helpful for someone who’s busy and can’t always find time to take care of themselves. Burn fat, lose weight and get your daily dose of nutrients and antioxidants with Raspberry Ketone Plus. These capsules contain superfoods and weight loss power like you’ve never experienced before. If you’re running around a lot and too busy to prepare your own food, then you need to make sure you’re getting the right nutrients for your body. Supplements will give you a health boost with little effort on your part.

Watch Eating Habits

If you’re busy, it usually means you’re not paying attention to what food’s going in your mouth. This is the first change you need to make. Keep healthy breakfast foods at work and bring your own lunch so you know exactly what you’re eating each day. Have a notepad and track your calories so there’s no cheating or assuming of what you ate. Happy hours are fun, but they’re not good for the scale. Limit yourself to one drink and choose a healthy snack before you go that’ll tide you over. You have to have a plan in place to avoid partaking in unhealthy eating habits.

Remove Junk Food from the Kitchen & Office

If it’s not there you won’t eat it. Go through your kitchen and office and remove any signs of junk food. Don’t even tempt yourself with these items. Stock your workspace and home with healthy and nutritious foods that are going to help you drop the weight. It’s easy to want to go for something unhealthy when you’re feeling tired and stressed. Busy people know to have healthy options present in the places where they spend the most time.

Always Find Time for Exercise

Busy people utilize their full day, including their mornings. This is a great time to complete a workout. It’ll get you up and moving and ready for the day. Make a schedule that you can stick to for the entire week. Schedules allow you to go with the flow without analyzing why and what you’re doing. It’s not as easy to skip out of the workout when you’re already committed.

Take Advantage of Weekends

Busy people know there isn’t much extra time during the week. The weekend is when you should be getting your long workouts in, and scheduling your meals for the week. Weekends are useful for planning and preparing. It’s an excellent time to hit the gym and fit in an activity. Use the extra days to burn more calories and plan a healthy menu. This is also a chance for you to rest and catch up on your sleep. You’ll have more energy during the week and it’ll help you reach your weight lost goals.

Conclusion

Losing weight is hard enough when you have time on your hands. Throw in work and personal obligations and it’s a real challenge.

Unique Anniversary Gifts for the Hard to Buy for Couple

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Uncommon Goods.

I love to buy people gifts – in fact, it’s my love language (if you haven’t read The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman, you should). So when it comes to giving gifts, I’m not usually just buy a them a gift card kind of person. I will search for weeks, days, hours to try and find the perfect gift. Whether it’s for a birthday, holiday, or anniversary.

I can tell you – the whole shopping experience can wear you out! From the end of Feb to the beginning of April I have 2 anniversaries, and 5 (count that F-I-V-E) birthdays to shop for, for immediate family members. Though the kids can be pretty easy to shop for, I always have to put extra thought into gifts for my Mom and Dad.

I managed to make it through their birthdays, but this month is their anniversary! So it’s kind of a double whammy in the ‘find-the-perfect-gift-for-two’ department. But I was introduced to this great site called Uncommon Goods and their selection of anniversary gifts are second to none.

There are all kinds of unique, personalized gifts, and I will tell you instead of not knowing what to get them and trying to find something just right, I went to having soo many options to choose from, and just picking one!

My parents love love coffee – not like your regular coffee lovers, but like coffee connoisseurs. So when I found these gorgeous hand crafted mugs, I knew that would be a perfect gift – that would be cherished for years to come.

I love that they also have other thoughtful gifts as well – like this ticket stub diary that would absolute melt a woman’s heart (I know it would mine – I mean how romantic for a man to buy this, and keep their game/concert tickets as keepsakes for a gift for his love?!)

Or what guy wouldn’t love a personalized whiskey barrel to show off to his friends?

Whatever or whomever you may be shopping for, Uncommon Goods has  gift for them!

3 Habits That Will Turn You into a Successful Home Business Owner

Starting and running your own home business can be fun and tricky at the same time. On one hand, you have the exciting challenge of turning a business idea into an actual business that generates revenue. On the other, there are distractions and issues you have to face along the way, especially when you’re working from home.

Having talked to many home business owners over the years, I came to realize a few habits that most – if not all – successful business owners possess. Here are the three habits that will turn you into a successful home business owner that you aspire to be.

A Morning Routine

Our brain works in a peculiar way. In the morning, the brain needs some time before it can be effective. Unfortunately, it is also difficult to get that usual jolt of energy when you’re working from home. The transition between home and work isn’t as pronounced as when you have to commute to the office.

A good way to let the brain know that it is time to get to work is by having a morning routine. The daily commute actually tells the brain that it is time to switch to work mode. You can achieve the same result by setting up a morning routine that works for you.

It doesn’t have to be overly complicated too. Breakfast while reading the news, or watching morning reports followed by a quick shower and a few hours in front of the computer, is a good start. Stick to the routine for at least 14 days and you’ll feel so much more productive in the morning.

Continuous Learning

Learning is always good for business. A lot of home business owners now take online courses – short courses and fully-featured degree programs – to master new skills and become better at what they do. The presence of online courses from top names such as Maryville University make taking courses and even pursuing a higher degree that much easier.

The act of learning alone is enough to stimulate the brain. You can stay sharp for longer, remember things better, and improve your ability to analyze information this way. It is also the perfect time to pursue an old passion of yours. If you have always wanted to learn about healthcare, now would be a good time to take an online masters in health administration course. The online MHA degree you get can also act as a safety net.

Explore New Avenues

Many business owners started their businesses out of passion, but that passion slowly disappeared over time. With the passion gone, running your own home business will be more of a burden – another job to do – rather than something exciting.

Don’t let boredom and the challenges of running the business get to you. In order to stay passionate, always set aside some time to explore new avenues.

You can take over the business’s social media accounts to talk to customers directly or spend time developing new products based on customer demands. These, along with the previous habits we discussed in this article, are easy habits to get into, but they are habits that will make you more successful as a home business owner.

4 Reasons Direct Selling Marketing Is Winning Over Millennials

Direct sales marketing was once a common job where people went door to door in hopes of selling their wares. Because of the millennial generation, it’s now enjoying a new resurgence. Direct sales marketing has social media and smartphone and tablet apps to thank, as it’s never been so easy for young enterprising professionals to find their own financial freedom and success.

Sensible Way to Generate Income

Whether you’re presently going to college or you’ve graduated from high school or college, you probably have your mind set on making money. In the past, the words “salesman” was most commonly associated with products such as encyclopedias or vacuums. In a fast growing industry, it’s expanded to a wide variety of merchandise that includes knives, cosmetics, food, and other household products. Because millennials are looking to finance their way through college or pay off debts, direct sales marketing has become a popular way for the younger generation to generate income. With little to no set up expenses, you can begin to sell immediately. You also can work your schedule around your other obligations. If you go to school, you can set your appointments around courses.

Training While You Earn

The direct sales industry offers a variety of attractive merchandise options for budding student entrepreneurs. This includes cutlery, nutritional supplements, beauty products, household items, food and jewelry. Vector Marketing offers work for students with excellent pay and a flexible schedule. Through their on-the-job training programs, students can gain experience to put on their resume. You can also be awarded with college scholarships based on your work performance. If you lack funding and job experience, this is the ideal opportunity for students looking to get ahead. With both full-time and part-time positions available, you can schedule your day-to-day appointments around your studies.

Social Media Makes It Easy to Sell

Today’s millennials are tech-savvy. They’ve had the technological world at their fingertips since they were babies. From computers in classrooms to smartphones and tablets, they are able to master everything from social media to every electronic device known to man. Previous direct selling tactics included going door-to-door and speaking with unknown household members. Candidates probably received their fair share of doors being slammed in their faces. Thanks to the Internet and social media, direct sales marketing has gained a global audience. Sites such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Snapchat have given millennials a head start in direct sales marketing. Apps are another useful tool to help students increase sales and track productivity, goals, and time management skills. With a smattering of social media posts, you’ll be able to reach a wider audience than ever before.

Be Your Own Boss

No matter if you’re looking to boost your income at present or flex your muscles as an entrepreneur, direct sales marketing has proven to be a foolproof way to future financial independence. You’ll probably even have fun on your journey. T.V. shows such as Shark Tank have shown millennials the benefits of being your own boss. It’s a way for you to enjoy a flexible schedule without the monotony of 9 to 5 job restrictions. You can also be in charge of your own income levels by how much work you decide to put into your venture. Because of the job flexibility and making your own hours, you also aren’t tied to vacation parameters, sick and personal business day restrictions.

Millennials have a unique way of thinking. Millennials want to feel like their working for a better, bigger and brighter future. For these reasons, many are willing to enjoy direct selling marketing in the quest to their own fortune.

Summer Flavors at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen (and Giveaway!)

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. Though I was compensated for my time, all opinions are always my own.

As you know my family likes to eat – and trying out new restaurants is always fun. One, because you never know what kind of tasty delight your going to find, and two, I get to share it with you (and sometimes even give stuff away!) Recently we visited our local Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen to try out some of their new summer flavors (and anything else that looked good).

We have a Cheddar’s not too far away, just off Colerain Avenue in Cincinnati. Though it’s not far from me, I hadn’t been to Cheddar’s and my son and I were especially excited to try it out (he’s a mac n’ cheese fan, so surely a place called Cheddar’s must have some pretty bomb mac n’ cheese right?!)

We’re checking out @cheddarskitchen new summer flavors 👅 yummy!

A post shared by Krissy Higgins (@krissyar) on

One of my favorite things to do is order appetizers – you know all the yummy fried delicious foods with cheese and bacon and things like that? So yeah. That’s what we did.

This is the loaded cheese fries – and OMG. I seriously could of made a meal (or two honestly) out of just this. Completely delicious and full of toppings. I love when there aren’t leftover ’empty’ fries don’t you? I want cheese and bacon on every bite – and they delivered.
We also got a 5 piece chicken tender that comes in original, honey hot or buffalo flavor -and in fact right now you can get a FREE 5 piece appetizer with the purchase of one entree (just print the coupon here !) Though I usually like them hot, the kids choice trumped mine and we got plain – which were still really good, especially with dipping sauce!

Now Cheddar’s is offering some really delish summer flavors, like their tangy citrus miso glazed salmon (a Lighter Side option – that I obviously didn’t go with this trip because we decided to go all out, but it did look really good), the and savory house smoked baby back ribs, (which by the way, was my choice, and soo good!) I got my 2 favorite sides – corn and mac n’ cheese!

My husband opted in for the steak which looked and smelled amazing and will probably be what I order next time we go!

My son got the kids mac n cheese (which can with garlic bread) and of course he stole my corn. (He said it was the best!) Like we figured, their mac n’ cheese did not disappoint, and if I can figure out a way to order a big tray of it and pass it off as my own the next holiday we have, don’t think I won’t!

The food was hot when it came out, the staff was completely amazing (I seriously did not ever even get to think about asking for a refill because they had one on our table before I even had the chance!)

They also have a great list of drinks too, which would make Cheddar’s a great place for happy hour! Not to mention a lot of delicious looking desserts that made my mouth water (but my tummy was too full – maybe next time!) Their summer desserts include their legendary monster cookie and the new knob creek peach smash. (I can’t wait to go back)

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen was generous enough to offer a giveaway for All in a Days Work readers – enter for your chance to try out Cheddar’s for yourself! 2 winners will each receive a $50 Cheddar’s Gift Card! Just enter in the rafflecopter below for your chance –  but hurry, giveaway ends 7/14. U.S. only please!
