I can’t believe it’s already that time again – summer has come and gone and it’s back to school time! No more leisurely evenings, or stress free mornings. No more lounging by the pool, or afternoon picnics at the park. Back to schedules, and bus stops, soccer practice and book club. I am constantly on the run going back and forth between the jr high and elementary school not to mention work. Sometimes I drop one at practice to go pick up another, then to drop off another, and back to pick up the next one – my Mom taxi never stops! I know kids think back to school is hard on them, but they really have no clue how hard it is on us parents – the stress of worry, money, and carpool! This year my youngest daughter is involved in quite a few after school activities. So I decided to pick up the Sparq II phone for her which is perfect for my little texting queen and perfect for #Phones4School.. She can call or text me when practice is over, if something is running behind (or early) and I love having the ability to check in with her and know that she can reach me anytime she might need to. The days of pay phones have ceased to exist and the need for our kids to have a way to get a hold of us a necessity. The phone is on rollback for just $24.88 and with a unlimited talk & text plan for $24.88 the price couldn’t be beat!
She didn’t waste anytime texting her friends – I am so thankful it’s unlimited. I felt she was a bit young for the unlimited data, but maybe next year sometime we can add it and the price is still reasonable. Definitely fits in our budget, and I love not having to worry about overages.

I love that they have these plans, especially for young ones. My niece and nephew have phones and I LOVE that I can talk to them whenever.
My son is still way too young for a phone. (He’s almost 3.) However, this would be great for a first phone for a teen (or younger.) I remember having a ridiculously low plan when I got my first phone. Not sure how I handled it as well as I did. 🙂
I have yet to see this in our Canadian walmarts. My son got an iPhone and is on my plan, but this would be much cheaper!
I am so glad to see Walmart getting more trendy items. I had a prepaid phone for the longest time and then went with contract. Went back to prepaid and now back with contract. It’s funny typing that out and seeing how I went back and forth. But it was more due to circumstances in life and the area I lived.
Glad to see that there are affordable phones & plans. I would get one for my mom – she really needs to have a cell phone.
I use one of the prepaid phone plans, and I love it. You really do get more for your buck, than with a contract.

My husband has been on Family Mobile for a while, and a few weeks ago my daughter switched. They both love it, I am thinking about switching too. They have such great deals!
my oldest isn’t quite old enough for a phone yet but my husband and I have already discussed that the Walmart plan is definitely what we are going to get her. I love their affordable plans and phones.
