One of the hardest parts about being a new Mom is not being able to comfort your baby when they really need it. From colic to occasional constipation, we try everything we can to bring comfort to our babies. Things like prune juice, warm compresses and other options seem to provide temporary relief, but nothing seems to last. I remember using karo syrup for my daughter when she had trouble with constipation – I always felt bad because it would go from one extreme to another, and I never had anything to use to keep her regular.
I remember getting really frustrated and thinking I was doing something wrong- then I found out that over 70% of infants have some type of feeding issue. So I knew I wasn’t alone – but it wasn’t any less frustrating.
I found that the issues often happen because your baby’s digestive system is still developing, especially during the first 3 or 4 months. The best way to tell if there is more behind your babies issues is to watch how they act right after you feed them – notice if he gets upset when you try to feed him, even though you know he’s hungry, there is something more going on.
Some behaviors of digestive issues are fussiness and gas, spit-ups, and stool issues. If you run into these issues, ask your pediatrician about options to help soothe and get their digestive system back on track. Most of the time your doctor will recommend an alternative formula that is designed to ease common feeding issues while still providing good nutrition your baby needs for development.
Enfamil Reguline is an infant formula that has a blend of two prebiotics clinically proven in Enfamil Infant formula to promote soft stools. Enfamil Reguline is designed to promote comfortable stool. It also has easy-to-digest proteins. It’s designed to help support digestive health. Prebiotics help feed the good bacteria in the digestive tract. Prebiotics are a type of carbohydrate that is also found in breast milk. Enfamil Reguline also has brain-nourishing DHA and choline for complete everyday nutrition.
I love that this is an everyday formula that I can use all the time. Not only is Reguline designed to help support their digestive health, but it also gives them the complete nutrition they need for growth and development.
My kids were formula fed and this was the brand I always used. I was very happy with it.
This sounds like a great formula. We had to use Enfamil formula with our son. He was allergic to milk and soy.
We went through so many formulas with my son because of his tummy troubles. Enfamil was great.
All three of my children were formula fed and each of them experienced different types of issues regarding gastro and tummy issues. I remember all to well what a difference a good formula made.
My great grandson had lots of problems with belly problems. They switched formula to Enfamil
This sounds really helpful! It’s so upsetting to see the little ones having tummy issues when there’s not much you can do.
I’m almost positive that Enfamil was the brand the hospital sent home when my kids were born. If the hospitals are using it, it’s got to be good stuff, yes? 🙂
I’m glad it worked for you. Is it more expensive than the regular formulas?
My youngest had such tummy troubles. This sounds like it would have been a great product.
We live in such a great time for parenting. I don’t know how our parents made it through this early years without all of the great products, including food, available for babies.
I have never heard of Enfamil Reguline before. I will have to share this with my friend. She just had a baby last week.
This is definitely good information to share. Avoiding tummy troubles with Enfamil Reguline will save baby from bad cramps and hunger.
I’m so glad there is stuff like this out there! Friends have had to use formula and had such difficulty, I wonder if this would have helped them!
I love how happy and peaceful your baby looks smiling in its sleep! I didnt realize babies suffer from feeding issues the first few months…glad Emfamil is making it easier for them to digest!
This sounds like a great help to the baby belly problems! Glad to see that baby feels better with Emfamil.
We had twins and when we switched to formula for them it was Enfamil brand that we used as well.
Oh my sqqueeeeee. Those photos are so adorable. Kiddo was 3 when she came into my life so I missed out on the baby phase.
Sounds so helpful! It’s difficult to understand what our babies need!
What a sweet baby! My boys had to have the liquid formula from another brand. This sounds like a great formula for infants.
I had no idea Enfamil has this – we’re expecting our second and our first had more than a few belly issues.
