One of my favorite things to do during the Fall Season is attend festivals! October and the Fall season in general is famous for all of the festivals that happen and chances are you can probably find one on every weekend of the season! There are so many really awesome festivals and Fall events in the area and I’m going to share with you a few of my favorites, be sure to check them out this Fall!
Trunk r Treat Fall Festival: This is a great festival for both adults and the kiddos! If you’re someone that loves to view old classic cars, this is the festival for you! It is being celebrated on Saturday October 10th, 2015 this year! It’s a great way for parents to enjoy the show of the classic cars, and kids get to go around to each car and pick out yummy candies! A great way to kick start trick or treating before the actual day comes! This is located in Anderson Township and it’s absolutely free for parents, and just $5 per child! Very affordable activity!
Cincinnati Zoo’s HallZOOween: Little ghouls and boys can enjoy FOUR spooktacular weekends of fun from Noon – 5 p.m for the first three weekends in October thru 24th/25th. Kids can enjoy trick or treat stations, special animal encounters, beauty shop of horrors, illusion shows, Hogwarts Express Train Ride, and more! Everyone is encouraged to dress up in your best costumes, but it’s not required. Definitely one of the most fun events at the Zoo!
Cincinnati Chocolate Festival: If you’re anything like me, this is going to be the place for you to go! Chocolate is one of my weaknesses! For whatever reason, I cannot seem to ever resist chocolate if it is put in front of me! You can indulge in all sorts of delicious chocolate recipes on Sunday, October 11, 2015! Located at the Cintas Center at Xavier University, you are bound to have an amazing time! It’s just $10 admission for adults and free for children 12 years old and younger, to save a bit of money buy your tickets at a Kroger store and get them for just $7 each!
Browns Family Farm Market – Pumpkin patches are my absolute favorite this time of year. Brown’s is a great place to visit, where you can enjoy the animals, play on all of their free activities, and take a hayrides. At only $3 a person (ages 3 and up) this is a fun affordable fall event to attend!
Fall Food Fest: Who doesn’t love a good food festival?! I know I do and the Fall Food Fest at Findlay Market is a great one to attend! You will find all sorts of delicious fall foods and best part is admission is free! You will find great food, fun games, and even some great chances to win awesome prizes with their raffles! This is happening on Sunday, October 11th, 2015 and you are bound to have a really great time!
Kids Fall Fest: This one is a really awesome one for the kiddos, they will have a blast! Located at Washington Park, you will get to enjoy beautiful scenery and have a really awesome time! The day is filled with games, a pumpkin patch, magic shows, puppet shows, and so much more! It is just a really awesome way to spend the day and have a great time! It’s Saturday October 25th, 2015 and admission is completely free!
Circleville Pumpkin Show: This is definitely one of my favorite festivals of the Fall! The Circleville Pumpkin Show is such a fun experience! At the festival you will find some of the biggest pumpkins you have ever seen that have set records! There is also great food and awesome live music playing constantly! A great thing about this festival is that it is multiple days so you don’t have to worry about missing it, I’m sure one of the days will fit into your schedule, the festival is happening Wednesday October 21st, 2015 – Saturday, October 24th, 2015!
Kings Island Fear Fest: Kings Island is an awesome place to go during the fall and the great thing about it is that they not only have an awesome show for older kids and adults at night called Halloween Haunt, but they also have Snoopy’s Halloween Party for the little ones! Both of these events happen on Saturday and Sundays in October! During the day you’ll be able to enjoy Snoopy’s Party and have fun meeting characters and getting candy, while being frightened and have a night filled with terror when attending Halloween Haunt!
Irons Fruit Farm: Located in the Lebanon area, Iron’s fruit farm has an awesome corn maze, pumpkin picking, hayrides, apple picking and their fresh bakery full of all kinds of sweet-homemade treats. They are open every weekend in October 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Niederman Family Farm: There’s almost too much going on at the Niderman Family Farm to mention in a small paragraph. Enjoy their pumpkin patch, rides, pig races,kids train ride, jumping pillow, pipe swing, snacks and more! Enjoy the fun every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October. Admission is $11 per person (children under 2 are always FREE)
Bonnybrook Farms: Open Saturday & Sunday’s in October noon to 6 p..m. FREE admission and parking, but extra activites such as rides and hayride cost more.
Spooky Pooch: October 10th in Glendale from 11am – 5pm; activities for dogs and their owners; including Spookiest Pooch contest, Spooky Pooch Parade, and more!
Ohio Sauerkraut Festival: October 10th and 11th in Waynesville Ohio. Food, fun, crafts and more!
Magic Halloween Hikes: October 16th and 17th at Caldwell Nature Preserve. (reservations required).
Halloween Nights at Parkys Farm: Dress your best and bring out your little ghouls and goblins, princesses and superheroes to a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly Halloween party. Thursdays through Sundays, October 8-25.
Jack O’Lantern Junction: EnterTRAINment Junction. Sept. 26 through Nov. 1, 2015.
Haunted Village: Family-friendly ‘spooky’ fun in Sharonville, OH. October 11th thru 26th from 6p.m to 10 p.m.
Fall-O-Ween at Coney Island: All your fall favorites plus some Halloween fun make for one great family event! Enjoy Trick or Treat Trail for kids, Fright Lights musical light show, Coney’s Classic Rides, musical entertainment, farmyard friends and more! Saturday and Sundays in October from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
