Of the 40% of Americans who make New Years Resolutions, 17% make a resolution to lose weight and eat healthier. Being one of the 17% I know how hard it is to stay on track – especially when it comes to those hunger pains in between meals. Snacking is what has ruined more than one day in my journey to become a healthier, thinner, me.
I love to snack. I will admit it. I am on the computer a LOT with work, my blog, and entering sweepstakes and it’s easy to get carried away with snacking too much. A few bites of this, a few bites of that can add up to a whole lot of extra calories that weren’t planned into your day. As I’ve started to learn about my snacking habits, and what I need to be successful I knew that I needed to find some low calorie snacks to keep me on track. So I was super excited when I was given the opportunity to try Special K’s new Snack Bars.
At just 100 calories per snack bar, the new Special K bars are delicious, filling and enjoyable snack. I decided to keep a stash of bars in my desk at the office, and of course in the pantry at home as well. They’ve came in handy when I get a sweet craving (I absolutely love love the salted pretzel chocolate and salted caramel chocolate when I am craving well, chocolate!) and the berry medley along with the blueberry bliss make a great on-the-go breakfast (O.K., like two of them, not just one, which is still awesome because that’s only two-hundred calories!)
Another reason to love these even more besides they are only 100 calories is they are super filling! In the past I have tried low cal snack bars that has me still reaching for my co-workers candy jar at 3 in the afternoon. I can actually say that these bars have kept my hunger at bay, and keeps me feeling good about my day – I have been able to stay under my calorie goal!
These Special K chewy snack bars will be available at retailers nationwide in January, and are sold in boxes of six for a SRP of $2.69!
