Where do you get your morning energy? Try Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Cereal

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Honey Bunches of Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But unfortunately mornings are one of the busiest parts of our day, and we don’t take those words to heart.

I hate to admit it, but 90% of the time my kids eat breakfast at school. Our local school board provides a healthy breakfast to all the kids, and allow them to eat breakfast during morning announcements. This is a huge time saver for us, so during most days of the week we don’t eat breakfast at home. The kids munch down at school, and I take my breakfast to work.

I work while I eat, so messy breakfast foods won’t work for me – I usually eat peanut butter & toast for breakfast every single day, so I was excited to try the Honey bunches of Oats Morning Energy and see how it compared. I decided to put some of the Chocolately Almond Crunch in some strawberry yogurt. OMG! I was in heaven with the flavors and the crunch (and I admit I ate a few extra handfuls of the cereal as I worked. It was too good to stop eating!) The Cinnamon Crunch was also yummy, (But I ate that for a snack after dinner in a bowl with Almond Milk – delish)

My most favorite part of HOney Bunches of Oats Morning Energy?

Here’s the nutritional breakdown for each serving combined with 1/2 cup fat free milk:
  • 10g of protein
  • 2/3 of your day’s recommended whole grains
  • 5g fiber
*It is recommended by nutritionist to eat three or more servings of whole grain foods a day (that adds up to around 16g of whole grains per serving, multiply that by at least three servings and you should try for about 48g in your daily diet).

  • I like Honey Bunches of Oats already, so I'll have to give their Morning Energy kind a try. 10g of protein is a good snack, plus the whole grains and fiber makes it even better. I think I'll try the Chocolatey Almond Crunch kind first.

  • I would love to try these! I like to eat this brand for a dry snack mid morning. I think the energy ones would be awesome!
