Strawberry Shortcake Milkshake

It is HOT out. So if you are like me drinking or eating anything warm is just not appealing. So I wanted to share this delicious sinful treat, the Strawberry Shortcake Milkshake. Now my kids love it, and what I normally do is leave out the cake mix for myself, use almond milk instead of regular milk and add my strawberry Shakeology packet to it. It’s delicious and healthier option. But it’s O.K. to splurge now and again – you can add the cake mix for an ext

  • Strawberry Layer:
  • ½ cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup skim milk
  • 2 scoops of vanilla frozen yogurt

Cake Layer:

  • 2 scoops of vanilla frozen yogurt
  • ½ cup yellow cake mix
  • ⅓ cup skim milk

 

INSTRUCTIONS

You will need to blend one layer first and set it in the freezer for a couple of minutes, while you blend the second layer.

Combine ingredients for the strawberry layer in a blender and blend until smooth.

Combine ingredients for the cake layer in a blender and pulse until smooth.

Using a large spoon, layer the two shakes on top of each other.

Add some whipped cream to the top and enjoy! ☺
