Savings & Convenience with The CurrentC App

A few weeks ago we discussed some ways to save money using phone apps – and I mentioned a new app still in beta testing in the local areas, called CurrentC. CurrentC is an app where not only can you clip offers to use, but also pay with your app as well, using your credit card, checking/savings account or gift cards.

I love the convenience of having payment, loyalty and offers all in one place  – no need to carry around multiple loyalty cards, credit/gift  cards, and coupons. Everything I need is right where I need it – in the CurrentC App.

It’s really easy to use the CurrentC App, and I love the mobile security. Each time I login I have to enter my PIN number in order to access the app – to protect my banking information, and gift card balance. With a pin on my phone along with the app, it gives me double the protection, and I don’t have to worry about it being hacked or stolen.

The app can be used at Walmart, Sam’s Club, Sears, Kmart, Exxon, Mobil, Shell, Target, CVS, Giant Eagle, Market District, and Wendy’s. You can check the app’s store locator as new locations are being added. As each store is added, so is the option to add their gift cards to the app as well – I don’t know about you, but it always makes me nervous carrying around multiple gift cards. It’s as easy as cash for a thief to steal, so being able to add it onto the app gives me peace of mind.

I hit up Walmart (and CVS) to get some snack foods and meals for the kids since I was going to be working and they’d be off of school for two weeks – so I checked out their adds, clipped some coupons  and checked my offers on the CurrentC App.
Before coupons, offers and specials – $447, after $144.39! Talk about some savings!
