This is a sponsored post with Mums the Word Network and Doctor on Demand. All opinions are my own.
It seems like especially during this time of year I am constantly running one of the kids to the Doctor for one reason or another. In fact, I’m pretty sure they recognize my number as soon as it pulls up on caller I.D. So between visits when I get sick I have a tendency to skip the doctor, or put it off until the last possible moment. I’m already taking days off, or hours off of work to make these appointments, not to mention the cost of the co-pays. But there is an alternative to spending hours in the germ infested Doctor’s office – Doctors on Demand.
Doctor On Demand is a healthcare service that provides Video Visits with board certified physicians, psychologists, and lactation consultants via smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers. You can download the iPhone app here , the Android app here or just visit via your desktop computer.
You simply download or visit the site, provide a list of your symptoms, and you are instantly connected to a provider licensed in their state for a video visit.
I decided to give Doctor on Demand a try recently when I couldn’t seem to shake the cold, or fatigue I was feeling for the past several weeks. I logged on one afternoon while I was at work on my break. I was connected to a Doctor almost immediately after entering my symptoms and concerns.
I am so glad that I didn’t take time off work to spend hours in the doctors office, and I was able to get my diagnosis in just minutes without leaving my desk!
Don’t take my word for it – You can try Doctor On Demand for yourself, for free. Doctor On Demand is launching a promotion where they are offering everyone’s first video visit for FREE. The Doctor on Demand is free to register (the app is free to download). You can enter the code at registration and store it in your account and use it at a later date! This is a cool idea - especially if you just need to talk to a doctor.
The power of technology!
What a great app! Technology at it's best!
This is a amazing idea. A real timsaver.thank you.
This is really great! Especially for those of us who like to consult Dr. Google and should probably get a real medical opinion instead!
I saw a segment about this app on the Dr. Phil show. I like that I can speak to a doctor without have to pay a co-pay for an appointment.
