Get Creative and Decorate with Minted.com

To be honest, we’ve never lived anywhere long enough until now for me to worry about decorating our house. It seems like every time I’d get the curtains hung we were moving again. I was so excited when we found a house with enough room for all of us, and close enough to my parents for their help when my husband was out of town. I have always loved to decorate and this is finally the time I get to do what I love the most – shop and decorate!

I love to start with the walls, and work my way down. It’s a lot easier to find pillows/comforters/shams, etc to match a great print then it is to find a great print to match the other stuff. So I started over at Minted.com and was overwhelmed with how many great prints they had to offer.

My youngest daughter who just happens to be coming up on her 10th birthday has a small fascination with Paris. In fact, that is her whole birthday theme for her party next week (you’ll have to watch for that post, we have some great things to share!) So when I found this great print of the Eiffel Tower I knew it would be perfect for her room. I can choose from many sizes to fit her wall, and my budget as well as whatever color frame would best suit the room.

Since we are using the Eiffel Tower art print as her ‘eye catcher’ I decided to look for something for my living room. Right now above our fireplace my husband has a canvas print of his families camp. Though I love it, I think it needs moved to our bedroom or possibly into his man cave. It’s a bit small for the size of the fireplace, and I wanted something that commemorated  our entire family, and I was so excited when I found the Heart Snapshot Mix Photo Art.  As most of your know my Dad is a photographer so we are never lacking on great photos of the kids, or the family at holidays. This was the perfect centerpiece to our home to share some great photos without taking up the entire way! Plus the great heart shape is just so charming. I can’t wait until mine arrives!
