Broadway in Cincinnati Presents: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory NOW through November 4th

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was probably my daughters second favorite movie when she was a kid (only second to Wizard of Oz). She would watch the DVD on repeat nearly daily, and I would find myself singing Oompa Loompa Doompa Dee as I was folding laundry or making dinner. It was a slight obsession – so when we were offered the chance to attend Charlie and the Chocolate Factory presented by Broadway in Cincinnati I knew we had to go!

The show did not disappoint! I don’t want to give too much away – I mean, you know the story but… they do put a twist on some things which is genius! This would make a pretty great early Christmas present for your spouse, or a fun family night; not to mention it’s the perfect weather to walk around downtown and eat at one of the many great restaurants downtown Cincinnati has to offer.

Roald Dahl’s treasured tale is now Broadway’s Golden Ticket! It’s the perfect recipe for a delectable treat: songs from the original film, including “Pure Imagination,” “The Candy Man” and “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” alongside a toe-tapping and ear-tickling new score from the songwriters of Hairspray.
