Beauty Routines for Women with Thinning Hair

It’s not something that is discussed often, and usually done in hushed tones.  But  thinning hair and hair loss in women is a lot more common than you think. In fact,  nearly 42% of women have experienced significant hair loss.

Now we all shed hair on a daily basis – anywhere from about a hundred to a hundred and fifty (and this is why I have to clean my tub drain and vacuum so often!) But if you seem to be losing more – big clumps of hair in your brush, or in the shower, your part is getting wider, your hair finer – you could be experiencing a genetic condition called hereditary female pattern baldness which affects more than 30 million women in the United States alone ranging from women in their 20’s to those in menopause. As scary as this might sound, there are somethings you can do to help lessen the blow.

Improve Your Diet. A lack of minerals can contribute to your hair loss – so eating iron rich foods can help. Protein and zinc can also help. Be sure to add foods rich with these minerals.

Change Your Hairstyle. Layers give an impression of volume which can help with thinning hair – adding curls help as well! I currently wear mine up to cover the spot on the back of my head and the thinning on top. Piling all your hair together does work! Hair extensions can also work wonders.

Aromatherapy / Scalp Massage. Many people believe that essential oils can help prevent hair thinning and loss. A special mix of certain oils (such as thyme, atlas cedarwood, lavender, rosemary, grapeseed and jojoba oil) massaged into your scalp nightly for 2-3 minutes will do the trick.

Be Careful When Styling. Keep the heat level down on your hairdryers, straighteners or curling irons. Flip your head upside down when drying to give your thinning hair more volume.

Use the Right Styling Products. Volumizing shampoos and conditioners, volumizing moose or root lifters. Selecting the right styling products can really make a big difference.

Try Women’s ROGAINE® Foam With over 25 years of results and clinical trials ROGAINE® brand is the #1 dermatologist and stylist recommended brand for hair regrowth. Women’s 5% ROGAINE® Minoxidil Topical Aerosol is the first and only FDA approved once daily treatment and should be used at the first sign of hair loss or thinning as part of a proactive anti-aging regimen.

I love how easy it is to use – apply directly to the scalp once a day, every day. Just like washing and conditioning my air, I add Women’s ROGAINE® Foam to my styling routine. Most women start growing fuller, thicker hair in just 12 short weeks!

Don’t just take my word for it – try it yourself! Get a Women’s ROGAINE® Foam COUPON here!
