Baseball Mom Essentials

In our neck of the woods baseball isn’t just a one practice during the week and a game on the weekend kind of town. The kids practice 3-4 times a week with 2 or more games a week. It’s a big committment, but it’s also a ton of fun.
If you’ve never been a ‘baseball mom’ before, or maybe you feel like your lacking in the area, I put together a few tips/tricks/and must have essentials to keep you and your little player on track this baseball season.

Comfy/Portable Chairs. A chair is actually a major piece of the baseball Mom game. You need something comfortable (after all, you’ll be in it for hours), but also really easy to carry since you’ll probably be lugging a lot of other stuff along too. I love the ones with an extra side table (you know for your phone, or snack) and the best ones also have the visor on the top to block the sun or even the rain. Trust me on this one, it’s worth the investment.

Your Own Baseball Bag. Besides their own bag to carry their helmet, bat, glove and balls, you need your own bag. You need an umbrella, a hoodie for when it gets chilly, sunblock, chapstick, bandaids and neosporin, or other emergency type kit items. I also keep eye drops (I wear contacts),  extra snacks (for me, my ball player, or his sibilings) and usually my extra battery for my camera.

Don’t Forget Your Team  Spirit. Every year I go and buy a t-shirt matching the  colors of my kids team. Number 1 my son LOVES that we match (well, he’s still small, I’m sure that will change) but when all the parents match the kids it just gives them an extra boost of confidence during a game. ..and I also bring my ‘cheer’ on. My son knows I’m always on the sidelines for him no matter what!

Body Armor Sports Drink.

BODYARMOR is a premium sports drink with more potassium packed electrolytes, vitamins and coconut water. It is low in sodium and contains NOTHING ARTIFICIAL – unlike other sports drinks on the market. It’s a GREAT choice for young athletes especially, who don’t need all the extra sodium in their diets or the artificial ingredients that come from drinking other sports drinks on the market. My son loves them, and even asks to take them in his lunch to school! You have to try them out, pick them up at your local Meijer or Target- and in fact they’ve offered a coupon on their Facebook page so you can give them a try this season.

Many of today’s top athletes choose BODYARMOR as their sports drink of choice, including: Mike Trout, Andrew Luck, James Harden, Buster Posey, Rob Gronkowski, Kevin Love, Richard Sherman, Skylar Diggins and Sydney LeRoux!!!
